Tustin Flea Market

Fun Day at the Tustin Flea Market
in Jamestown.

Yes I am 43 years old and finally I purchased my first gum ball machine and a replica of a metal airplane carousel that I always wanted.
My kitchen is almost complete of my favorite things.

So Happy to see Debbie Watts from Blossoms there and I met one of Christie's Friend Lisa from Blue Canoe.

The Flea Market is in the same parking lot of Whimzy one of my favorite stores, check it out it you are in the area.

Hope you are enjoying your weekend, I am....

Buongiorno!
I am joining Polly at Frenchcupboard for an Altered art Party!
Check it out.

I found a headboard at the Silverado Salvage Yard. Not the best wood or paint and since it was the headboard with no rails I had to Alter it .

The paint was already peeling off so I just gave a light sending. I decided to leave the gold details and just changed the color of the trim from foam blue to aqua.

As always the piece has to be cute and practical. I did add a piece of wood between the opening and to hide the gaps I added a trim. This trim has a groove that will hold the chalk.

Left over from an other projects where two scroll legs that I trimmed on the top to be able to add a piece of 4" wide pine for a shelf.

Farmer's Market was the first idea and then talking to Christie we added French. I used my usual tecnique on tracing the words. I do have a project for you to check out on how to make signs. Stop by mercatino blog and check in side bar.

Stained the piece with golden oak water base stain.

I decided on one handle under the shelf to hang towels.

Glued the eraser on a piece of molding.

The headboard is for sale and will be at the Chateau de Fleur in September.

I almost forgot!
Christie and I went on a field trip Tuesday. Now, I will let you in on a little secret, shshshsh. Never been in Riverside. Never been at The Ros........this one I will keep it to my self until I go there and share it with you. If it wasn't for Christie I would just shop in Rainbow.

First stop "Old Glory"

Christie and I will be back at Old Glory in November for a holiday show.

Second stop, we met our friend Heather that leaves in Riverside and had lunch in this "delizioso" restaurant. (sorry can't remember the name)

Best part, dessert!

off to some more stores. Too bad "Patina Decor" was closed

" Mr.Beasley's Antiques" and "Brookleberry's Antiques"
what can I say, we though it was one of the usuals Antique stores, NOT! It felt like been back home in my nonna's house. Double, triple of everything. Never seen so many armoire and chairs and couches. Interesting.

What a Sweet Day it was!

Click here to check "Soldering class part I"

Such a fun soldering class today. Thank you Ladies, starting with Kathleen, Michelle, Valentine, Joy, Nicki, Cynthia and Pammie. I am loving more and more teaching especially with a crazy group like this and you know there is no alcohol involved is not allowed during class. They made me feel comfortable in my own workshop. We did the bubble charm and a mini bottle. After that was lunch at the house, fresh salsa and chips and my mini meatballs with fresh bread. Next was a visit to the Silverado Salvage Yard. Fun! We will be doing this again soon and I believe everybody agrees on the boxed charm. More info to follow on my other blog mercatino.

Thank you Ladies

Meet my neighbors at the Urban Barn

I am still recuperating from the HEAT! I woke up tired this morning....can't believe how hot was during the sell.( Oh Rita, quit complaining.....)
The best part of the sell was to be with my artist friends. I missed taking photos of Sweet Magnolia Farm, The two Wild Roses, R RETREAT Bob and Deb, make sure you visit their sites for more photos. Few friends came from far away to visit...it was nice to see you The Tattered House, The Pink Fanny Farm and Melrose Vintage, to name a few.
