For the Love of Dogs!

Happy Monday!
and what a Monday.....As some of you know I lost Bennie my 5 year old dog about 3 months ago and how painful that was and still is just thinking about it. Yesterday I took the BIG step, not only I brought home one dog but two!

Meet Callie, 1 year old.

Meet Milo, 1 year old.

Both come from a shelter and rescued from I don't know what kind of situation and I don't want to know. They are both healthy and so loveble. Callie has a chimical burn in her back and the hair will not grow back but she is still so so cute. Milo is so smart....and he discovered the chickens so I am chasing him all over the yard while the chickens are screming, not a pretty picture. Few adjustments need to be done, but they have a HOME now.

Tool Box

Whenever I go to the Salvage Yard here in Raibow, Jeff hands me a wagon or something for me to fill with stuff. He has the best small bits and pieces, hardware, old keys, wheels.....The other day he hands me a tool box to use. I am carrying this thing all over the Yard filling it with trinkets....what am I thinking? I love tool boxes and that's what I am buying. Jeff looked a little sad I don't think he wanted to sell his tool box. Well here it is.

I cleaned it, gave a coat of flat brown paint, 2 coats of light green, glued one of my appliques, brushed some stained on and wiped the excess off.
I love Spring and this tool box will be perfect for displaying my new blooms on the dining room table.

A Beautiful Day!

Happy Monday!
I haven't said that in a while.......
I love my Mondays, especially this one. So much has been accomplished and I do feel a little tired but very happy. The Soldering Class Saturday was amazing....the students/friends, Lisa Loria co-hosting the class, my Deano cooking and with the help of the boys we had a wonderful time. It gets better and better. I put together a slide show on my classes blog if you would like to see it. HERE
The weather today is so perfect and I am ready to get back to work. And guess what I just e-filed for my taxes too! I am FREE....so it is indeed a beautiful Monday.

I wish I can take a nap....I am not sure if I ever mentioned to you that talented Amber had a giveaway around Christmas and she gave everybody pillows! What a girl. I chose Rustique.
Amber will be joining us at the next Chateau de Fleurs.

"Inspiration does exist, but it must find you working"
(Pablo Picasso)

It's almost time for another soldering class! This Saturday Lisa Loria and I will be teaching the " 5 Charms Necklace" class here in So Cal . Second time for me to teach this specific class, intense and fun. My classes schedule can be found here. Getting the workshop ready is always an inspiration to me.

One of the reason I love soldering classes is the use of Vintage objects.

Inspired by "The Graphic Fairy" I made name tags for the students using one of her vintage frame image.

Such a great find at Target for just a dollar I purchased mini packages of wipes. What a great idea.

The soldering kits have been made.

Old door

White Wednesday!
how many things you can make with an old door?

I am so glad I keep lots of trash around, in this case a door that fell completely a part. Pieces ready to be thrown in the fire pit. If you remember a couple of posts ago I had made these 3 signs out of the inside panels of the door. A door similar to the one below.

Today I made a sign with one of the frames of the doors

and a birdhouse. The only reason I didn't throw the door away was the design that the ghost lock ( my Italianish language) had created.

Few small pieces left.....I wonder what else I can create. I have to tell you Kathleen hostess of White Wednesday if wasn't for you I would not get much done. I am always looking forward to participate to WW and that pushes me to work a little bit harder.

Bluebird class with Jenny Hernandez

I took a class!
this is my second class ever taken in my entire artistic career. First class was about 2 years ago with Tricia Samsal, I knew she could handle me,lol.
Yesterday I took Jenny's class and learned how to sculpt with paper clay.

The class took place in Tustin at Whimzy, one of my favorite "Sparkle wherever you are" store. They also have classes, please check here for the next classes. It's owned by Sheryl and Dianne, and they also are the wonderful creators of Glitterfest.
Jackie (right) and I drove to Tustin, did a little bit of shopping, had a wonderful lunch and took the most amazing class EVER!
I think I talked too much, there was so much to share with Jenny and all the students.

Sheryl's strawberry cupcakes were so delizioso!

my love birds, and what a perfect timing!
Tomorrow Dean and I will be married for... like he says
"20 Long, Long Years"

Great work ladies!
