Chateau de Fleurs, Fallbrook California

I want you to close your eyes and just listen.....well pretend!
Imagine to be my neighbor and what do you see? Your crazy neighbor Rita in the fields, wearing her RED robe, plaid pants, B/W rain boots, holding a dress form in the freezing cold!
Yes, that's what I did. I took my new dress form down the hill and pretended to be a RED NECK photographer. I am in LOVE with the results. My heart is going tutun tutun. Can you hear it? Just pretend! I am ready....loading the truck and on my way to Christie's.

New Treasures

Look at what my Deano found!
A Vintage Fan

It goes perfect on my favorite corner of the Living Room with all our other sentimental treasures.

The keys are from a Castle in Sicily. "Il Castello di Donnafugata". The custodian knew that Deano loved keys. The Dom Perignon bottle was purchased by my Papa' the last time he came to visit in 1994. I love the dark green of the glass and the label is the coolest.

$5.00 typewriter

Well, today has been the quite before the storm. Tomorrow it's time to start loading the truck and taking my goodness/stuff to Chateau de Fleurs. Vendors are coming to set up and I will keep you all posted.

One Year of Shows and Friendships

I can't believe it, it's been one year since the first Chateau and all the events I have been part of. Such a great year! I may need another board and bigger for this year. So many shows and adventures awaiting.

My favorite necklaces are hanging too. I purchased WISH from the TatteredHouse Girls, first time I met them. The key to my Heart is from Debra's online store and then I had Old Soul Studio custom make L'ARTISTA.

"Vintage Inspiration, Home is where the Market is"
Congratulation to Chateau De Fleurs for been chosen to be in the front cover of the Spring Issue of Today's Vintage.
You don't want to miss it!

Today's Vintage magazine is distributed monthly to stores, shows and auction companies in California, Washington, Oregon, Arizona and Nevada. Chateau was chosen to be in the front cover. Six photos were sent and they chose this one......Lori Martin is the designer of the whole ensemble of the front page, she is amazing, she is always thinking! There is also a 2 pages article, with more Spring Time photos of the show, interviews with Nicki Glade and Debbie Watts and my self. It looks great! Please pick up a copy next time you are antiquing. Also will have some at the next Chateau de Fleurs. Today's Vintage is one of my favorite magazine when getting ready to go shopping. Has everything from flea market to auctions. Thank you Today's Vintage for choosing us.

Please stop by Debra's blog for more Vintage Inspired

Mercoledi Bianco

Happy White Wednesday!
Buon Mercoledi Bianco!
and I am finally done with some of the signs that I really, really wanted to have for this next Chateau. My house is a mess, but the signs are done. So many letters, tracing and painting and I love the result.

Ho finalmente terminato delle insegne da portare al mio prossimo show. La casa e' completamente piena di insegne ma ho finito. Tante lettere da copiare e pittare ma amo il risultato.

Signs every where...some special orders are complete and some are NOT!

Da pertutto ci sono insegne....anche ordini speciali completati ed altri NO!

Bella's sister will be going to Chateau too.
La sorella di Bella andra' anche lei a Chateau.

Finito!

Have fun visiting Kathleen's blog for more White Wednesday.

It's almost time for another Chateau de Fleurs event. This is the time when I really get excited and can't wait to see all the vendors! Amber, Becky, Cynthia, Debbie, Denise, Dyanna, Eloise, Jessica, Kerri, Jamie, Linda, Lisa, Lori, Missy, Nancy, Nicki, Robin, Sandra, Sara and Abbey, Sharon, Rachel, Shirley, and Vonni. Please visit our FB page for all info on the vendors. Every day Christie has been posting about one or two of them and linking to their web site or blog. Still we have few vendors to share with you.

Christie and I also have been working on making a brochure and it's finally ready! As a special thank you to all our wonderful local stores that are taking the time to promote our event and for allowing us to have our postcards in their store, we have created a brochure for the customers to pick up at the Chateau during the events. Here is a preview and please click on it to enlarge and you are welcome to print it too!

" Vintage Inspiration Friday"

I am joining Debra for another Inspiration Friday. I actually didn't have much to share until I checked Pammy's Blog!

I am so grateful to be the one that sometimes inspires others.
I can't tell you how Rewarding that is to Me! Pammy is a Mac Gyver like me, she is an amazing solderer with her own style and I do admire her work. Her charms are so Vintage inspired with earthy and black tones. Like I told her this morning, we would be trouble together!
Enjoy your weekend

Change of Plans!
I was suppose to make signs today but since the winter weather is back and it's freezing in the workshop, I had fun playing with words and solder.
My girlfriend's birthday is coming up and decided to make her a special charm.

Let's hope the rain stops soon, I have a lot to get done!

What a Class!
It was really a treat to have these wonderful students today. I also got to play and make a shadow box.

These friends took the class:
Lisa Loria (very talented artist), Jeanine Gostenhofer (speech therapy teacher) and
Beth Livesay ( Editor of many of Stampington & Co.publications)
Thank you Ladies

I played too and made this box

Lisa brought not only strawberries but also red velvet heart shaped cream cheese frosting cupcakes! Oh mio Dio....so good.
I have to tell you that I love to teach soldering classes but I could not do it without the food! We had French Onion Soup, Mozzarella di Bufala with Tomatoes, Lettuce Wedges with Blue Cheese and Walnuts and if you remember I was brining olives 5 weeks ago. Oh.....they came out so good. But that's another post.

Pink Lemonade made it to the workshop too!
