Alan turns 18 tomorrow!

He did celebrate with his closest friends on Sunday and he had a blast.....I made his favorite cake.

So much happens when you turn 18, ah! We do forget and I hope we are not pushing him to hard. We asked him to look for a car, a job, apply to the ROTC because that's the latest idea that he has. Is it too much?

Meet Cheryl Waters

We had a class today. We got together and shared ideas and techniques. Cheryl is the master of mix media and scrap booking tools and since I don't have a clue on what each scissor does or glue or glitter or hole puncher, Cheryl was nice enough to teach me few techniques.

My friend Christine joined us and she is very gifted too. The day was incredible. I learned a lot and I shared my soldering techniques with them.

A Good Day!

Che giornata bella!

I went shopping at the Silverado Warehouse today, no idea what I was looking for but the wagon needed a home . I will paint and do something really cool with it. I also found two iron chairs, what to do with them, not sure. I came back home and since tomorrow I am having a day of creativity with two lovely ladies, I started cleaning the workshop but as usual when I clean something really cool happens, I start creating!

Ho fatto un po' di shopping a Silverado Warehouse. Ho trovato un vagone come si dice in California e anche due sedie. Sono tornata a casa e visto che domani ho una giornata di creativita' con due amiche ho deciso di pulire il laboratorio.....ma come sempre mi perdo' nella creativita"

I found some wood behind the workshop, it is oak! Oak to me means heavy wood and not easy to cut with the miter saw. For a real wood worker (a Man) it means "rich, expensive". Well it's been sitting outside for 15 years and it was time to use it.

I never painted my appliques black but I needed a change so I did. And I don't think I have seen appliques painted black anywhere yet in blogland. Hint Hint

La Vita e’ Bella!

teaching two classes this July one the 14th at Rooster Creek and one the 21th at the Reades. Can't wait!

then is Arizona August 18th - 21th and so looking forward to it too, so very much.

between shows few article will be coming out here in the States with my work. I only have pdf proof so can't share too much but I am so so excited!

and and few other articles will be published in Italy soon too. This is the DREAM come true for me to be able to share my work with my family back home. They will get to read about me without me having to translate, lol I will post more when I have something concrete to show. My wheels are turning again....I am already getting ready for the next Vintage Marketplace in September. I can't stop thinking about it! We had such an amazing show that can only get better, don't you think? Great Customers, Friends and Vendors. Christie and I have closed the Registration with 35 vendors, ordered the cutest postcards EVER. So no time to stop!

Wishing all the Fathers a Happy Father's Day. A Bitter & Sweet Father's Day for me, my Papa' died on Father's Day but my Deano deserves the BEST DAY EVER! He is the BEST.

Taking a break

Friday I spent the day with the girls. We took the day off and went to Valley Center. The Lavender is starting to bloom at Key Creek Lavender Farm, so beautiful. I didn't take my camera, I had decided to take a break from that too and now I do regret it but Kay Ellen took the most amazing photos so please check it out. HERE

Then we were all invited to Christine's house were her daughter Rachel and Sister Vicky made us the most delizioso Lunch. Thank you so much. And then a trip to Matilda's Mouse, a barn sale that happens once a month and don't get a chance to go often. I am back to work, a lot of work and looking forward to start.

The Best show EVER!

One of my favorite of all was the entrance. The table, chairs, bicycle provided by Touched by Time. Christie's vision of a farm style setting came to life. Beautiful touches everywhere.
