PINK PINK PINK

I have been DREAMING of a PINK Christmas.....for the next Vintage Marketplace at the Oaks.
Yesterday I worked on pink velvet pin boards and I glittered few boxes and bottle brush trees.
Love Love Love the results.
Today I found a furry, shaggy pink rug at the Goodwill, just perfect for under my table.

Wishing you a wonderful rest of the week
and
Thinking of all our friends in the East Coast
stay safe!

Hearts

Wishing you a wonderful  week!
I worked on wall hanging hearts last week and I am so happy with the results.
My fingers hurt from bending the vintage metal fencing but my excitement to see all of them on the wall made the pain stop.

These HEARTS are for sale and they are $50.00 each.
If you are interested please let me know and they will also be for sale at the next
Vintage Marketplace at the Oaks

What a week!

.......and it's not over yet!

I got a new car, her name is "Bianca"
2013 Fiat 500 sport.
I love the smell of a new car. It's been too long.
I had to take a good picture of her so I stopped by the park.

While there I had to say hi to the ducks.
So nice....

Another stop that day was to pick up my printed fabric. This is something that I wanted to do for ages. I didn't bring much back from Sicily except some object given to me by my grandparents. My Nonno gave me an empty flour sack. He told me the story.....
During WWII he was given a sack of flour by the American soldiers to thank him for keeping them safe in his country home. I kept this bag safe and always wondering if I could find a printing company that would help me. I did! and love the print. This is so special to me....and now I am wondering how many things I can do with it.

I had a computer chair that I took apart. The chair sold as a swing and I was left with the legs, perfect piece to start using my fabric.  I added a piece of wood and padding and Voila'!

I have been working for two weeks with a local wholesale Flower Farm. I took a lot of photos in their amazing fields and indoor too. I made them a slideshow of the pics that they took to Miami to their Trade Show and few of the pics will be added to their website.....I will let you know more soon. I am so excited that they liked my work!
So it's been a busy, great week and it's not over yet.

Have a beautiful weekend
Ciao Rita

Class with SallyJean

When SallyJean is in town I love to take at least one of her classes!
This is my second class with her and I am planning to take more as soon as she comes back to So. Cal.
For me taking SallyJean's class is like a day at the SPA.
(I have never been at a SPA)

With SallyJean you don't actually know how the projects looks until you take the class. So, Wednesday I gathered all my blings, velvet and lace...
It's a wonderful surprise every time!

This is SallyJean's piece. A glass angel filled with Christmas goodness!

All angels are so different and whimsical.

I chose the smallest head and the biggest body. I filled her with one pink metal rose, glitter and few words.

Art, Mom, I love you tenderly, Dear Friendship and Joy.

Can't wait for another SPA day with SallyJean!
(on the left is my first project from the March Class)

Please visit SallyJean's site for more information on workshops and much more.

Resting for one second

Our friends own a Farm and they are also growing vegetables for the homeless. The program is called Outreach Farm Project. Check out their page on FB! and learn more about this project.
I am not part of the church or group but I love what they do! I promise my self to volunteer more in the fields next season.
A couple of weeks ago we scarred some pumpkins. And this past Sunday they sold the pumpkins at Rancho Community Church in Temecula.

I did plant some Paper White Bulbs yesterday and I hope they will bloom by the next show....

More picks of the Farm
Sunflowers

Chicken pot pie tonight!
So you see I rested for a second......
