Thank you-Grazie

Mamma, ti voglio bene!

Tomorrow is my birthday and every year I get the same feeling...that I should be celebrating my Mamma. She is the one that almost died while giving birth to me.....
She is the one that gave me away not only to the most wonderful man but also letting me move away to the other side of the world!
 Mamma, I love you!

Yesterday Christie and I spent the day with our friend Lisa Loria. A much needed relaxing day....Lisa is an extraordinary artist and her home is full of inspirations. As soon as I walked into her home I was inspired...we talked, shared ideas. We also went to two local thrift stores, fabric stores and then back home were Lisa made us a wonderful lunch and dessert!

I found the perfect quote to summarize our day spent at Lisa's:
"Throw your Heart over the fence, and the rest will follow"

We came home with our hearts full of friendship, inspirations and gifts. Roses from her garden, a special glass cup, a bottle of vino for me and champagne for Christie. While there Christie surprised me with my b-day gift...this beautiful jar. I wanted this jar since the last sale....I love it!

Thank you Principessa & my SIL!

red, white,green

I love jadeite!
What a perfect way to combine red, white and jadeite.
I had so much fun today with candy canes, hot cocoa, and whipped cream.
One thing I can say is....how hard it is to shoot whipped cream. It just doesn't stay fluffy for long!
so I had to add more and more.
While taking pictures I was eating mini candy canes...I think I ate about 6!
That is the price you pay for trying to get the perfect image and still I am not happy.

I think this is it!

We have baking to do, cooking and getting together with family and friends.

So.....

Wishing you all....a

Paper Whites

Don't you feel sad in the winter when nothing is in bloom?
This year my paper white bloomed at the right time.
How do you display your paper whites?

Mes Amis Vintage Antique

Dean and I stopped in Roseville to see our friend Sandy. We spent an hour there and of course I had to take photos of her adorable, warm house.
Sandy is the owner and producer of Mes Amis Vintage Antique Show
in Roseville.
We were so excited to also find out that Sandy's Home was published in the Spring issue of Romantic Country Magazine!!!!

Congratulations my friend!

"The Trip"

What a trip! We could call it a Vacation.....and somehow it was. I am grateful to have spent 4 days with my Deano.....24 hours x 4.
Deano works for CPR (California Porsche Restoration) and does all the pick ups and drop off of beautiful vintage Porsche. He drives all over the place. This is my first time joining him and I am glad I did. It was the perfect timing.
You see, it was a TRIP! 1,000 miles to get to Bend, Oregon and 1,000 mile to get back home all in 4 days.
Stopping only every 4 hours for gas and a bite to eat. I do appreciate my husband more and more. Timing is everything with his job. Customers are expecting their cars to be delivered at a certain time or picked up at a certain time. Almost all the photos that I took were taken from the truck while Dean was driving. Oregon is certainly a wonderful place to visit.....the cold not so much.
Day three we shopped....and since we could not buy anything in the antique stores that we visited in the area...we decided to find thrift stores and we had a blast!
Day four we headed home but half way home I had a chance to visit with a good friend for an hour. I will share it with you on another post. Enjoy the photos...

This photo was taken in the dark....

I am thinking of buying a cow....Dean and I already named her Carolina. I think she will be a great addition to the family

The trees had their winter coat on...so beautiful

A winter wonderland for real!
