The Vintage Marketplace June 2012

Almost time for our September event. We had such an amazing show this last June that we made a slideshow for you.
Enjoy it!

Behind the scenes

Can you imagine spending your afternoons sitting under a pepper tree on one of these chairs?

Christie and I had the chairs re- upholstered. Great work on the chair part but we were not too happy with the ruffle ....it needed something more to really make it Romantic & Rustic. Day 1 Christie came over and painted the roses, I watched her bring the roses to life. Always a wonderful experience seen her paint.

Day 2 Christie spent the morning making ruffles, three layers. In the afternoon we attached it to the chairs and finished it with ribbon.
Now they are complete!

We had a great time under the pepper tree. Christie worked on the set up, styling while I took photos.

Another great day at the TVM headquarters!

The chairs will be for sale at The Vintage Markeplace at the Oaks September 7th and 8th, 2012.

A day with creative friends!

Sylvia, Deb, Amber and Beth

Sylvia, Amber and I drove to Laguna Hills to Stampington to meet with Beth Livesay Editor of Somerset Home, Jewelry Affaire, and many other publications! We met Deb Kennedy there too. We talked, had an indoor picnic and talked some more.

Deb gave us  one of her
"Sweet Sweater Pumpkins"!
Please visit Deb's Blog and FB Page to see more and learn about her fast, cheap & easy decorating tips.
Thank you so much....and some of you know everything in my home has to have a purpose, well this little pumpkin will be my new pin cushion and will be displayed all year around.

My little collection all together!

I am back to work!
Few more weeks until the next Vintage Marketplace at the Oaks.

A very creative weekend!

(Christine's finished Beaded Cuff)

This is Robin!
Robin Dudley-Howes
from
Robin's Nest
teacher and jewelry designer.
Robin came to the house to teach her "Beaded Cuff Class".
I am still jumping of joy! We had a wonderful group of ladies.
Robin came prepared....her kits were all packaged and included a photo of what was in the kit. Mini beads, large colorful beads, wire, vintage brooches and earnings, filigree and much more. I know from experience how much work is involved in getting everything ready for class.
Thank you Robin!

Dawn working on her piece. I love the aqua and bright green combination.

Donette's gold, black and cream...another beautiful combination. Notice her tools?

Chatting and Working.

My SIL Christie's work in progress, I love her choice of colors too.

My bracelet almost complete.
 Pretty girl!!!

Amber's choice is absolutely delicious!

Robin working on her cuff that may be going to the next Glitterfest. Robin is not only a soldering and jewelry making teacher but also participates to a variety of  shows. One of them is Glitterfest! You don't want to miss it! Check the web site below or click on the postcard on my side bar.
GLITTERFEST

We are posing with our finished cuff.....Robin is probably thinking...."Wait I am not wearing one!"
