Cranberry Sauce

Cranberry sauce. After 23 years of residing in the USA I can't get used to the Cranberry Sauce. I love Cranberry Juice with Vodka!
Do you have a unique way of making Cranberry sauce? Not too sweet, not too bitter?

PINK Christmas trees

I am having so much fun!....
Pinterest and Bloggers did talk about bleaching Christmas trees but I never did it my self.

You will need:

Green Christmas trees
Two mason jars
Bleach
Needle nose pliers
Rit Petal Pink Dye
Small Brush
White paint
Paper Towel

Dip the Christmas trees in the bleach and wait.......in few seconds your trees should be white. With the help of your needle nose pliers grab the trees and pull them out of the mason jar. I did manage to deep 3 trees in the bleach at the same time.
When you have bleached all the trees, rinse them under cold water and dry them.
( I am saving the bleach in the mason jar for now)

Fill the other mason jar with water and few drops of the pink dye, not too much. Screw the lid back on the mason jar and shake. Deep the Bleached Christmas trees and wait until they turn pink. The more they are dipped the deeper the pink. (dipped/deeper...ah!), I had to ask my son how to spell dip and deep. They both sound the same.....

Dry the now pink trees with paper towel. I like the base to be white so I use a small brush and white acrylic paint.

I am not finished with this project but I wanted to share it with you before the weekend.

Thank you to my Deano for helping and for serving the most amazing food!
His White Chicken Chili warmed up a lot of customers....and here is the recipe.

White Chicken Chili
- 1/2 cup butter, 1 onion diced, 3/4 cup flour, 4 cups chicken broth, 1 (12oz) can evaporated milk, 2 tbls. chili powder, 1 tablespoon cumin, 1 teaspoon salt, 1/2 teaspoon black pepper, 3 cups cooked chicken, 2 (15oz) undrained pinto beans at least, 2 cans (4 oz) diced green chilies.
In a large stock pot melt the butter and saute the onion. Stir in the flour and mix until the flour is well blended. Add broth and evaporated milk and cook over medium heat while stirring. When mixture has thickened, add remaining ingredients, stirring after each addition. Simmer for 15 minutes or until heated through. You can serve with shredded cheese, sour cream, chopped onions and cilantro. Leftovers freeze well.

An Inspiring trip

we are back from our trip!
Amazing time and lots of shopping.....I will be posting photos next week. Tomorrow I will be teaching a private soldering class and then I will be getting ready for Madam Palooza Holiday Faire.
On our trip we visited so many stores...one of my favorite stores was WILLOW NEST in San Louis Obispo. I purchased this note pad and I love it! Every page has a quote
