What's up with me today!
It's very dangerous for me to wash dishes in the morning. I love the warm water and just washing the dishes relaxes me but also I start thinking....not so good.
As we know, Life is too short and we do realize that after we turn 40 . And friends are going trough tough times, loosing their loved ones and so on. It's no fair!
My point is.....don't let other dictate what you should be doing or wear to be part of the group. Did you have a girlfriend or two that told you not to wear certain things? "It's not fashionable". I did and I let them. But that outfit was your favorite, comfortable. What about your hair? I did always wear pony tales until a friend told me that I am not that young anymore....
When I was younger I used to see older lady dressed a little bit eccentric, now I know why..... call me crazy but I got my overalls out and I will have pony tales as much as I can, of course with taste.
I feel much better!

You Go Rita !!!...Your only as old as you allow yourself to be ..and who has the right to dictate how anyone should dress or look according to age. I love your pig tails ..it's part of what makes you unique..cute and and just plain FUN !!!
ReplyDeleteSomewhere along the way I think somebody made a rule as we get old were supposed to dress in polyester ..well we'll show them ..it's blue jeans and dresses and ponytails for the remainder of our Happy Trails !!

Aahh... but remember... rules are made to be broken (fun ones, anyways). From one "older" chick to another: pigtails, overalls and silly other things, keep us young!

ReplyDeleteI wear pony tails too.. almost everyday.. and I am well into my 40's... I have to say... I am getting too old to keep friends that make me miserable... You wear your overalls and your ponytails and your inimitable spirit... your enthusiasm is what makes you so great!! poo poo to non-friends.. hahaha
