Old door

White Wednesday!
how many things you can make with an old door?

I am so glad I keep lots of trash around, in this case a door that fell completely a part. Pieces ready to be thrown in the fire pit. If you remember a couple of posts ago I had made these 3 signs out of the inside panels of the door. A door similar to the one below.

Today I made a sign with one of the frames of the doors

and a birdhouse. The only reason I didn't throw the door away was the design that the ghost lock ( my Italianish language) had created.

Few small pieces left.....I wonder what else I can create. I have to tell you Kathleen hostess of White Wednesday if wasn't for you I would not get much done. I am always looking forward to participate to WW and that pushes me to work a little bit harder.
Ciao for now
Rita

  5. How imaginative you were at preserving pieces of a wonderful old door (love the color of the old paint) and repurposing them into new found treasures!

  7. I just found your blog and oh how I love that ghost lock in your birdhouse. I enjoy building birdhouses myself and will definitely have to start building some for Spring. Of course it is snowing here today, so will have to wait to clear path to workshop.
    Thanks for sharing

  8. Oh Rita I know what you mean. I've got a pile of chippy old broken pieces of a table that was so awesome till it got ruined in the rain and fell apart. I can't bring myself to throw any of it away. I've got plans for it, you know!
    Love all your salvaged projects!
