New Curtains for the Dining Room

As always when it's cold or raining I get to play in the house. I was not planning to make curtains...I am not a good seamstress and always worried to make mistakes. But I really wanted to try and I did. Love the lightness of the curtains especially compared to the former curtains that were red velvet.
Now more light comes through the windows.
This curtain was made with painter cloth and an old crochet table cloth.

Ciao for now

  2. The curtains that you just sewed are very lovely.
I wish that I could sign up for one or some of your classes; they look like so much fun and I too could learn how to make beautiful things. But I live a ways away. I enjoy your blog, thankyou for it.

  4. I just had to follow you home to your blog because this afternoon I pinned a picture of your metal garden gate above a flower box. I think it was from Dec. 13, 2010. Anyway, so many people must have seen it and liked it and pinned my pin. I just wanted you to know that your picture is still inspiring people 3 years later.

The odd thing is that my husband found a gate so similar to yours a few weeks ago back in a small gorge on our property and propped it up against a fence until we could figure out how to use it. This house was built in 1920 and over the years previous owners had dumped old stuff back there. Hopefully your picture will give us some ideas how to use our gate too.

    Your curtains are lovely!
