white wednesday in my workshop

White Wednesday!
in
my workshop.

I love this iron piece, it's on top of the workshop entrance, can't say I have an entrance door for my workshop. The door was to heavy for me to open and close so we took it off and I purchased a screen 6'x 8', easy to install.
It's great in the summer, not so much in the winter.

I built this birdhouse about 10 years ago and it's on top of one of the metal cabinet, that you don't see because this is " White Wednesday" and the cabinet is not white.

What to do with a refrigerator that doesn't work? Make it work. I need storage all the time so I decided to keep it. For now I have magazines, fabrics, jewelry displays, vintage bottles and silk flowers inside.

I make my own appliqué or as I call them doodaz. Also stored in the suitcase.

Of course frames, some of you know and some don't, I started making frames when I was pregnant with my second bambino. Didn't know a thing about angles and miter saw but my sister-in-law needed someone to frame her art the rest is history.

and white German glass glitter.
I may give you at tour of the entire workshop during the soldering class.
Ciao for now
Rita

  1. So this is where you get dirty! Looks like a great place to make all the neat 'stuff' that you do. Of course you know that I love the birdhouse. I didn't know that you made Christie's frames. What a hard working girl you are.
I think I'm in love with that awesome old refrigerator with it's cool green interior. Great storage solution. I am so glad that one didn't make into a landfill.
    A great WW post.

All fabulous and great idea to use the fridge if you have room for it.. Love the old look but they are bulky fridges.

I LOVE THE OLD FRIG ...GREAT IDEA TO USE IT FOR STORAGE ... WISH IT WAS IN MY OLD KITCHEN ... YOU COULD HAVE MADE A BAR OUT OF IT AND PUT SOME WINE GLASS HOLDERS IN THERE TO... THAT IS IF YOU DRINK. :^)
