Lisianthus is an annual rose like flower, also known as Prairie Gentian. Each blossoms last a several weeks, and plants bloom non stop..... I came home from the Farmer's Market with this beautiful bouquet and I couldn't decide which container to use!
Title:
"The many ways to display a bouquet of fresh cut flowers".
An old sap bucket |
Silver Tea Pots |
A ceramic carafe |
(not sure what this container is use for but I love the way the Lisianthus are displayed in it) |
Displaying fresh cut flowers in a basket could be a little tricky. Here is my idea.....
I use 4 tall skinny vases, filled them with water and gently placed them in the basket and arranged the bouquet of Lisianthus inside. |
(To extend the life of fresh cut flowers mix one teaspoon of sugar,1 teaspoon of bleach, and 2 teaspoon of lemon or lime in a quart of warm water. Cut the flower stems every few days at a 45 degrees angle with a sharp knife).
Happy Monday!
Ciao for now
Rita
